77' - Argentina gave up after the second goal. This could end in an even bigger score.
78' - Let's look at the bright side: at least Maradona won't be running around naked like he promised!

77' - Argentina se rindió luego del segundo gol. ESto puede terminar en un marcador aún más abultado.

Grondona, por favor terminale el contrato a Diego y luego tené la decencia de renunciar vos también. Ya estás muy viejo y muy corrupto como para seguir ensuciando nuestro fútbol y nuestro seleccionado.

Argentina vs Mexico – Almost live commentary

OK, I barely made it this time. In my defence, I’m on holidays and the World Cup has captured my attention almost completely… Hopefully the commentary for tomorrow’s game against Germany will be posted within 48 hours. But I can’t promise! :-P

04' - Not a lot worth writing about so far...
06' - Good play by Messi, who refuses to pass
06' - Fantastic shot by Salcido, he hits the crossbar (did Romero touch it?)
07' - A good run by Tevez, who... Ugh, see comment about Messi above
08' - Another great chance for Mexico. I don't like this
11' - Pass a freaking ball, Messi!!!
13' - Di Maria shoots wide off a corner kick
14' - Another great chance for Mexico. This game is definitely not boring. I'd say it's scary
16' - I hate those whiny players and coaches that are always signalling at the referee so he shows a card
17' - Mexico is in control so far. Has anyone seen our midfielders?
18' - Argentina doesn't know how to progress on the field, so he moves the ball as if they were doing a giant W on the field.
21' - I will give Heinze 7 point for that landing.
26 - GOAL FOR ARGENTINA!! Tévez hits a header. A clear offside that the referee doesn't see. Mexicans are furious, and they're right to be.
33' - GOAL FOR ARGENTINA!! Higuaín picks up a HORRIBLE pass from a defender and goes around the keeper to score an easy one
36' - Di Maria first, and then Tévez miss a great opportunity to score the 3-0
38' - Mexico has totally lost its shape right now. It can turn into  a total blowout for Argentina
42' - Higuaín misses a great header

There was a scuffle as the players were coming off the field, but apparently without consequences. Another example of poor officiating.

45' - Second half is on. One sub in Mexico.
49' - Excellent game by Otamendi so far, winning almost every ball
51' - GOAL FOR ARGENTINA!!! - Tévez with an incredible shot from at least 25 yards. Best goal I've seen in this World Cup so far
55' - I was about to say it would be good to send Pastore for Tévez and move Messi up, but was interrupted by the goal
57' - The Mexican defence is panicking every time Higuaín, Tévez or Messi are around
63' - Carlos Salcido is by far the best Mexican player.
65' - Mexico is getting closer. Time to look at your bench, DM
66' - Not Verón! I know we have no midfield right now, but still... SIGH
68' - Verón x Tévez!! What a cowardly substitution. We're giving up on scoring any more goals.

73' - Argentina is broken in half and just dumping and chasing. What a shame, they had the game under total control

36' - Primero Di Maria y luego Tévez pierden una gran oportunidad de poner el partido 3-0
38' - Mexico ha perdido su línea completamente. Esto puede ahora terminar en una goleada argentina.
42' - Higuaín con un cabezazo buenísimo que se va afuera

Hubo una trifulca entre jugadores mientras salían de la cancha, aparentemente sin consecuencias. Otro ejemplo más del pobre arbitraje que signa este Mundial.

49' - Excelente partido de Otamendi hasta ahora, ganando casi todas las pelotas
51' - GOL DE ARGENTINA!!! - Tévez con un espectacular shot desde al menos 25 metros. El mejor gol que haya visto en el Mundial hasta ahora.
55' - Iba a escribir que era un buen momento para mandar a Pastore a la cancha por Tévez, y así mover a Messi arriba, pero me interrumpió el gol.
57' - La defensa mexicana entra en pánico cada vez que Higuaín, Tévez o Messi andan por las inmediaciones
